WHAT: Las Vegas’ Summer Santa Rampage in July (Yes it’s hot….DUH!!)
WHERE: On the Strip in front of Bellagio, center alcove in front of the fountains
WHEN: Friday July 13th at 9pm sharp
WHO: Santa and all of his minions
WHY: Because it’s July and people have forgotten ‘the meaning of Christmas’.
HOW: You drive there, park, walk, and participate, IN COSTUME please.
Join Santa, Mrs. Clause, some disgruntled elves, and possibly a reindeer or two as they make their way up and down the Las Vegas Strip spreading holiday cheer! This is a costumed event, which means street clothes are NOT allowed please.
What the hell is this all about you may ask? See the links below.
Put simply; Santa Rampage is the MOST FUN you will EVER have with your clothes on. This is an adult activity and involves bar hopping, naughty caroling in public, and spreading holiday merriment upon the unsuspecting masses. You MUST be in costume to attend, so merrily putting on a Santa hat and a pair of jeans does NOT cut it. Please either dress up, or stay home Santa! Cheap Santa suits can be had for around $25, and you have a month to get one so no excuses, see below.
Here’s the rules Santa:
1. You MUST be dressed in costume to attend as either Santa, Mrs. Clause, an elf or a reindeer (or some part thereof) to attend. NO STREET CLOTHES ARE ALLOWED.
2. You and you alone are responsible for your well being, this is radical self reliance. If you start trouble then you are on your own Santa, and Santa will leave your happy ass to your fate.
3. Don’t f**k with little kids. Nothing says “please kick my ass Dad” like making a little kid cry. Always ask permission before giving a kid a toy. Kids take Santa VERY seriously. Experience has shown that it’s best to avoid kids whenever possible.
4. Don’t f**k with security or the cops. The casinos and Metro police don’t give a damn about Santa or holiday cheer, always be respectful and do exactly what they say. If they ask us to leave, we leave as a group.
5. Wear comfortable shoes, we will be walking about 4 miles total on this trip.
6. Bring some spending money, we will be hitting bars. Even if you don’t drink you may want a snack or something along the way. And Game Works doesn’t take ‘back rubs’ as payment either last we checked.
7. You may want to print the schedule below; Santa will be departing promptly at the times listed. Santa has a schedule to keep.
8. STAY TOGETHER. “No force on Earth can stop a hundred Santa’s” but there are several that can stop one or two. Not everyone loves Santa; but there is power in numbers, use it. No Santa left behind.
9. NO ONE IS IN CHARGE. When asked, the answer is almost always “Santa”. Here are some examples: “Who are you guys?” We’re Santa. “Who sponsored this?” Santa. “Who’s in charge here?” Santa. “Who are YOU?” I’m Santa. “Why are you doing this?” “Because I’m Santa. See a pattern here?
10. Leave early. It will ALWAYS take you longer to get to the meet up point than you think. The Strip is a mess on Friday nights, leave early. Consider alternate parking (see below). If you’re showing up at Bellagio please be on time.
11. Bring gifts or toys to hand out. Think cheap, cute stuff that people will dig. This Santa prefers little cans of Play-Doh and Plastic Army Men, you may like something different. Be creative!
12. NO STREET CLOTHES. We know we said it before, but every time we do this somebody shows up in jeans and a Santa hat expecting to hang out and pal around with Santa. Well it ain’t happening this time! Either dress up or stay home please.
We will provide you with naughty Christmas Carols to sing, please don’t print them out in advance so we’re all on the same page. Alternate parking is Planet Hollywood across the street from Bellagio or perhaps Monte Carlo down the street. PLEASE feed yourself before the rampage, Santa is not hungry; he’s got holiday cheer to spread and a schedule to keep. Stay together.
